One of my favorite ways to spend my free time is at a food festival, but sadly most of them take place outside Zeeland. Luckily for you Cuisine Machine’s got you sorted, because this weekend they’ll take over the industrial heart of Vlissingen! And although it’s only Tuesday, I’m sure you’re already looking forward to the weekend. I hope you’ve still got some free time, because you don’t want to miss this!
Cuisine Machine presents itself as a culinary festival, filling the old halls of the Machinefabriek (machine factory) with food stands, food trucks, live music, and bouncy castles. This year’s theme is seafood; so prepare yourself for mussels and fresh fish! Don’t like seafood? Lucky for you there’s plenty of other types of food available, some of Zeeland’s finest will be present: such as Expresszo, and De Juf, which we have written an article about before. The entrance is free (yay!), but it is only possible to pay with cash, so be sure to bring enough, because prices range from €2,- to €15,- for a meal.
The easiest way to get there is by taking bus 56 leaving from Koestraat and getting out at Scheldeplein (Centrum) in Vlissingen, which is about 14 stops or so Google Maps tells me. Then it’s just a 5-minute walk to Glacisstraat 165.
