Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Suzanne Oostdam. I am 20 years old and I am from Breda, which is the best city in Brabant. I’m not really sure what my major is yet, although I am going to be in my fourth semester. I am probably going to do something in Social Science hoping to graduate.
What position are you running for?
I am running for HAC Bagijnhof Campus Elder!
Why are you running for this position?
I want to join the HAC because it seems like such a nice board. I went to their open meeting, thinking that I’d probably run for treasurer. But then I actually really liked the responsibilities the current Bagijnhof Campus Elder has. The things Jelle [the current Bagijnhof Campus Elder] had to organize and arrange seemed like fun things to do.
I mainly want to continue the upward trend this board has been setting. They did a really good job, for example renovating the Bagijnhof houses. I would not change their strategy too much.
Why should people vote for you?
What I want to stand for is that I want to be here for the students. I need to make sure that the relationship with the neighbors is good, but I also feel that the students should have a good time and should not worry about being a bit loud two minutes after quiet hours. I want them to have fun here.
If you were a fruit, what fruit would you be?
I don’t know why, but the first thing what pops up in my head is a kiwi.
Because it is round and hairy?
No!! Thank you, though, I appreciate it. Maybe I am just feeling like eating a kiwi right now.
